Playing with Rabbit and Rabbit Toys
Rabbits are social animals and love to play, but knowing how to play with them and what they enjoy is important. Keep in mind rabbits have their own personalities, likes and dislikes!
- Allow your rabbit to nudge a ball and send it rolling, then go get the ball for your rabbit, its like fetch, but your the one who fetches it.
- You can put up thing like toilet paper tubes on their ends, and allow your rabbit to knock them over.
- You can set up obstacle courses, and motivate your rabbit with treats.
- Overall, keep in mind what your rabbit likes as an individual, and make sure to bond with your rabbit before attempting to play with them. Never chase them, this scares them a lot.
- Chew toys- rabbit love chewing things, so chewable toys are great!
- Solid plastic baby toys- like rings or stacking cups. Make sure there are no small parts that your rabbit could choke on.
- Paper- shredded newspaper can be quite fun to play with for a rabbit.
- Cardboard boxes- Cardboard boxes with holes cut into them can make good hiding spots
- Throwable toys, like balls.
